'A' Class Dealership award

Julie & Simon had a day trip to Sudbury, Suffolk last week where Modern Mobility were awarded 'A Class Dealer' status by TGA. So well done to all our staff for being...well....just so good at what they do. The Breeze, Sonet and Eclipse continue to perform superbly which is why they rank highly amongst our favourite products. The only problem is - we're running out of wall space for all our certificates!

New ST range of scooters.

We have just taken delivery of some of the new range of 'ST' scooters. This deluxe range has only just been launched and we have been permitted to do some very large price reductions as an introductory offer on a limited number of them. The range covers from the cute little ST1 which will easily fit in the boot of almost any car, up to the big all-terrain ST6 - an 8mph beauty with a 31 mile range and a 31 stone user weight capacity. Our Helium, in new spy drama 'Nemesis'.

Written and created by award-winning American television writer and producer Frank Spotnitz (X-Files), Nemesis is an original eight-part suspense thriller set in the world of international espionage, produced by Britain's own Kudos (Spooks, Life On Mars, Law & Order UK), in association with Big Light Productions, for BBC1 and HBO. At the heart of the drama is Sam played by Melissa George (Grey's Anatomy, Alias), a highly skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm. We were asked to prescribe and supply the sleekest most stylish manual wheelchair possible, as befits the character of Andrew - a slick young wheelchair bound architect who is in a relationship with one of the main characters. We chose the gorgeous Quickie Helium in gleaming white with graphite trim. S.J.Clarkson (Hustle, Dexter, House) is directing the series which will air on BBC1 towards the end of the year. I did of course put all of us forward for any possible bit-parts, without charge even, but strangely they didn't take me up on that one!

New website launch.

Today we launched our new website after almost a year in the making! There are still a few amendments to be made and of course there are always more products to be added, but we're working on it at every opportunity available to us. We've made it much more personal and hopefully more interesting to browse through, any suggestions or requests will be taken into account. Hoping you like it as much as we do.

New Fosse Park Director

New Fosse Park Director

Today we were delighted to meet the new Centre Director of Fosse Park, Mr. Adrian Young. Adrian was previously in charge of the lovely Forestside shopping centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. His personal interests are photography, music, soccer coaching, family, retailing and cookery....and he has a degree in Psychology from Ulster University. It was a very pleasant surprise to find that he is also Chair of Shopmobility Belfast, Chair of the Northern Ireland Region of Shopping Centres, a member of the British Council of Shopping Centres and various other community and sporting groups. The happy conclusion is that we are all in even better hands now than we were before!

Tracy's super stardom

Tracy's super stardom

Our very own Tracy Warren has been rocketed to TV fame! Ourselves and hundreds of our customers were glued to the set when Tracy featured on the extended 'Disability Special' of popular Channel 4 show 'How to look good naked'. We were all very proud to see her flying the flag for disabled people in Britain, she did us all proud. Tracy and presenter Gok Wan got along so well that they've remained friends. She then further shocked us all by making a guest appearance on Good Morning, being interviewed by Lorraine Kelly. Tracy is such a lovely and vivacious lady that she's been receiving invitations ever since from disability groups, charities and the media.
