How to Fit Attends Contours Regular 6
Attends Contours Regular 6 should be worn with suitable fixation pants. Correct fitting helps keep the pad securely positioned and supports effective leakage protection.
Fitting the Pad
1. Measure the hip and waist and use the larger measurement to select the correct fixation-pant size.
2. Put on the fixation pants, then pull them down to just above the knee and fold the waistband over.
3. Fully open the Contours pad with the back sheet on the outside. Gently fold and cup the pad lengthways to activate the leakage barriers.
4. Place the pad between the thighs from front to back, with the smaller end at the front and the larger end at the back.
5. Smooth the pad into position and pull the fixation pants high into the groin to create a snug fit.
6. Adjust the fixation pants so they fully cover the pad and check that both the pad and pants fit snugly without the back sheet folding inwards.
Positioning guidance
Attends advises positioning the pad more towards the front for men and centrally for women.
When to Change the Pad
Check the wetness indicator when assessing whether the pad needs changing.
Attends advises changing the pad if the wetness indicator has disappeared over approximately 60% of the product length or if the pad contains faeces. If the pad remains clean and dry, it can be reapplied after toileting.
Checking the Fit
If leakage occurs, check that the pad is fully unfolded and correctly positioned and that the fixation pants are the correct size and provide a close fit.
The fixation pants should fully cover the shaped pad.
Disposal
Roll up the used product and dispose of it according to your local authority or NHS waste guidance.
Do not flush Attends Contours pads down the toilet.
