Attends F6 is a shaped pad rather than an adhesive-backed insert or pull-on pant. It should be worn with correctly sized, close-fitting fixation pants so the pad remains securely positioned against the body.

Attends recommends using the F6 with Attends Stretch Pants or a suitable equivalent. The correct pant size should be chosen using the larger of the user’s waist and hip measurements.

How to Fit Attends F6 Faecal Pads

Attends F6 should be worn with correctly sized fixation pants. Use the larger of the user’s waist and hip measurements when selecting the pant size.
  1. Put on the fixation pants and pull them down to just above the knees.
  2. Open the Attends F6 pad fully, then gently fold and cup it lengthways to activate the leakage barriers.
  3. Place the pad between the thighs from front to back, with the smaller end at the front and the wider end at the back.
  4. Position the pad slightly towards the front for men and centrally for women.
  5. Smooth the pad into place and pull the fixation pants high into the groin for a secure fit.
  6. Adjust the pants so they cover the complete pad, making sure the waterproof back sheet is not folded inwards.
  7. Check that both the pad and fixation pants fit snugly without causing discomfort.
Fitting tips:
  • Make sure the pad is fully unfolded before fitting
  • Use correctly sized fixation pants
  • Ensure the leakage barriers remain raised and active
  • Clean and dry pads may be reapplied after toileting
  • Remove soiled pads from the rear where possible
  • Change the pad immediately after a faecal void

Disposal

After use, roll the pad securely and dispose of it according to your local-authority or NHS waste policy.

Important: Do not flush Attends F6 pads down the toilet. Fixation pants are washable and reusable unless otherwise stated by their manufacturer.
