The Uccello Kettle makes pouring hot water easier by rotating within its cradle, allowing the kettle to tilt through up to 80° so water can be poured without lifting the full kettle from its base.
An Easy Pour Kettle You Don’t Have to Lift
The Uccello Kettle has been designed differently from a conventional electric kettle. Instead of picking up and tipping the full weight of the kettle and water, the Uccello sits inside a rotating cradle.
Hold the ergonomic handle and tilt the kettle forwards within the cradle to pour. The kettle can rotate through up to 80°, helping reduce the lifting, balancing and aiming normally involved when pouring from a conventional kettle.
The kettle can also be removed from the cradle when required, although it can only boil while correctly positioned in the cradle.

Designed to Make Pouring Easier
A full conventional kettle can become increasingly difficult to lift and control. The Uccello approaches the task differently by allowing the kettle body to rotate inside its cradle while the cradle remains on the worktop.
This can make it worth considering for people who find lifting, gripping, balancing or accurately pouring from a conventional kettle difficult.
How the tilt-to-pour design works
Once the water has boiled, hold the handle and rotate the kettle forwards within its cradle. The kettle can rotate through up to 80°, allowing water to flow through the spout while the kettle remains supported by the cradle.
Easy Filling and Everyday Controls
The Uccello uses a one-touch hinged lid designed to require only a light touch to open or close. A water-level indicator on the kettle helps you check how much water has been added before boiling.
The manufacturer specifies a minimum fill of 0.7 litres / 3 cups and a maximum of 1.5 litres / 6 cups. The kettle should always be filled within this range before boiling.
A power switch positioned beneath the handle illuminates while the kettle is heating. Once the water has boiled, the kettle switches off automatically.
Important: Uccello states that at least 0.7 litres / 3 cups of water should be used for every boil. Repeated operation with insufficient water can damage the kettle.
Contrast Colour Options
The Uccello Kettle is available from Modern Mobility in several colour combinations, including the distinctive Black & White version.
Able2 specifically highlights the contrasting Black & White design as helping make important parts of the kettle, including the easy-touch lid button, easier to differentiate for some people with reduced visibility or dementia.
Is the Uccello Kettle Right for You?

Using and Caring for the Uccello Kettle
The Uccello Kettle is designed to make pouring hot water easier by allowing the kettle to rotate within its cradle. Correct filling, careful pouring and regular cleaning are important for safe everyday use and to help keep the kettle working properly.
Before First Use
1. Check that the voltage shown on the kettle matches your home power supply.
2. Check the power cord for visible damage before connecting the kettle.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the maximum level.
4. Boil the water and discard it.
5. Repeat the process once more.
6. The kettle is then ready for normal use.
Filling the Uccello Kettle
The kettle has a
minimum fill of 0.7 litres / approximately 3 cups and a
maximum capacity of 1.5 litres / approximately 6 cups.
Minimum: Always fill with at least 0.7 litres of water before boiling.
Maximum: Do not fill above the 1.5 litre MAX mark on the water-level indicator.
Water only: The Uccello Kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not use it to boil other liquids or substances.
Important: Uccello states that boiling the kettle with less than the 0.7 litre minimum can damage it. Overfilling beyond 1.5 litres can also cause boiling water to overflow and may damage the kettle.
Boiling Water
1. Make sure the kettle contains between 0.7 and 1.5 litres of water.
2. Close the lid firmly.
3. Position the kettle correctly inside its cradle.
4. Connect the plug to the power outlet.
5. Press the power switch beneath the handle.
6. The indicator light will illuminate while the kettle is heating.
7. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled.
The kettle can also be switched off manually during the boiling cycle by pressing the power switch.
Pouring Without Lifting
Once the water has boiled, the Uccello can remain supported inside its cradle while you pour.
1. Hold the ergonomic handle securely.
2. Slowly rotate the kettle forwards within the cradle.
3. Control the tilt to direct the water into the cup.
4. Pour slowly and avoid tipping the kettle too quickly.
5. Return the kettle carefully to its upright position after pouring.
The Uccello can rotate through up to
80° within the cradle, allowing boiled water to be poured without lifting the kettle.
Do not tilt the kettle backwards: Uccello specifically warns against rotating the kettle backwards beyond its intended position. Doing so can cause water to escape from the rear of the kettle and may damage the appliance.
Handling Hot Water Safely
Take care whenever the kettle contains hot or boiling water. Steam can escape from the spout during boiling and when the lid is opened after a boiling cycle.
Keep the lid closed while the kettle is boiling, pour slowly and carefully, and avoid opening the lid while the water is still hot. When the kettle is hot, only touch the handle and the lid-opening button.
Boil-Dry Protection
The Uccello Kettle includes boil-dry protection. If it is accidentally operated without water, the protection system automatically switches the kettle off.
If boil-dry protection activates:
1. Switch off the kettle and allow it to cool.
2. Wait at least 30 seconds before refilling.
3. Add at least 0.7 litres of cold water.
4. Reposition the kettle correctly in the cradle before boiling again.
Boil-dry protection is a safety feature rather than a normal operating method. Uccello warns that repeated dry boiling can permanently damage the kettle.
Cleaning the Kettle and Cradle
Always disconnect the Uccello Kettle from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
Kettle exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth.
Cradle: Wipe using a mild detergent and damp cloth.
Filter: Clean periodically using mild detergent and a damp cloth.
Avoid: Do not use harsh chemicals and never immerse the kettle, power cord or plug in water.
Cleaning the Removable Filter
The filter can be removed to make cleaning easier. Pull the filter out carefully, clean it with mild detergent and a damp cloth, and then refit it securely into its support before using the kettle again.
Descaling the Uccello Kettle
Mineral deposits from tap water can build up inside the kettle over time. Uccello recommends using a suitable liquid descaler when required.
The manufacturer also provides the following alternative descaling method:
1. Add 3 cups of white vinegar and top up the remainder with water.
2. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight. Do not boil it.
3. Empty the solution from the kettle.
4. Remove any remaining marks around the spout using a damp cloth.
5. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring it to the boil and discard the water.
6. Repeat the clean-water boil before using the kettle normally again.
Storing the Kettle
When the Uccello Kettle is not being used, unplug it from the power supply and allow it to cool. The power cord can be wound around the cord-storage area beneath the kettle for tidier storage.
Keep the kettle away from direct sunlight during use and storage, and always position it on a flat, stable surface.
